Juri-Jaagu

J-J is on the island of Muhu.

This is a copy of a building in Rootsivere, dating from the end of the 19th Century. The door decorations are very traditional patterns. The farmhouse, across the yard, shows modernisation work done in the early 1900s.

But the bed coverings have traditional colours.

You can see that the islanders were not the tallest people in the world. Christine did not think the beds would have been big enough even for her.
By now, the summer kitchen and sauna were made out of more solid materials.
