Ecological Museum (Part 3)

Fire Brigade

Given that several different pieces of the museum have burned down in separate incidents over the years, it is no surprise that they have a traditional firestation. The equipment is authentically antique.

School house

As we got into the more modern part of the museum, we found a school, where everything except the notice on the gate was in German.

The kitchen would not, perhaps, attract modern househunters.

Herrnhut

Another surprise was the Herrenhut. This was home to a fraternal congregation - who seem to have lived a very austere life, even by 18th century Estonian standards.

According to Google, they may have been Moravians, although the guide book has them down as a very pietistic sect of Lutherans.  Anyway, their house was quite simple, and you haven't seen the inside yet.  This is their oratory.
