Rabat

Royal Palace

Rabat is the political capital. The King has a rather decent palace, one of only two places in the country where you may photograph men in uniform.

Nice front door:

The palace contains its own mosque, but ladies are not allowed to visit it. The people of Morocco have given the royal family another one, and the King visits it three times a year.

In the grounds there are attractive Gabonese tulip trees.

The palace garden also had a Bird of Paradise palm. It’s quite unusual to see them in flower back home.
